Twenty-five SIJ 7th and 8th graders participated in the Region 11 Science Fair at the University of St. Francis in Joliet. The students worked extremely hard on the research papers and experimental projects in order to prepare for this day. Besides earning twenty-two gold medals, three perfect scores, and advancing eighteen students to the state competition, SIJ earned ten best in category awards. SIJ has established itself as a leader in science among other schools in the county and region. We are very proud of all the hard work and dedication that makes this success possible.
Students who earned Best in Category are listed with their respective categories. Perfect scores are designated by ++. State finalists are designated by *
Congratulations to our 7th and 8th grade students who represented St. Isaac's at the State of Illinois Science Fair on May 3rd. Over 1500 students in grades 7-12 competed at the state level. We are proud of all of our students who participated and did their best work as they researched and put the Scientific Method into practice. It is a testament to the talented students we have at St. Isaac’s when they are up against the best in the state. Also congratulations to Mrs. Annamarie Boyle who guided our students through the entire process which began back in September. These accomplishments would not have been possible without Mrs. Boyle's watchful eye and constant encouragement.
