Faculty & Staff - Junior High

Mrs. Annamarie Boyle / Junior High Science  and intermediate math Teacher

Picture
Mrs. Boyle is thrilled to serve the community of St. Isaac Jogues as a junior high science teacher. Her teaching experience over the past twenty-five years has allowed her the opportunity to teach every grade from first through eighth and to serve as a teacher at Arbor View School in Glen Ellyn and St. Michael in Wheaton. Mrs. Boyle has been the recipient of two British Petroleum- Energy for Science Education grants and the ESP- Energizing Student Potential STEM grant.  Her Bachelor’s Degree was earned in Education and Master’s Degree was completed in Special Education.

When she is not involved with teaching school, she is usually with her family. She and her husband, Michael,  are the parents of five children who have all attended Catholic Schools. It is evident that Catholic education plays a vital role in their lives. Mrs. Boyle feels extremely blessed that God has brought her to SIJ to teach the students about God’s wonderful world through the wonder and awe found in science!

Mrs. Mary Hinchley / Intermediate and Junior High Math teacher

Picture
Do you love Math? Mrs. Hinchley does and she loves teaching Mathematics!  It is her goal to help her students learn to love it too.  Mrs. Hinchley is a graduate of Illinois State University’s Junior High Education program and has over 20 years of experience teaching Math. She is also a product of Catholic school education for 12 years and she is pleased to share her faith and take her role as a model for children very seriously.  Away from school, Mrs. Hinchley spends the majority of her time with her husband Bob, and their four children.  She loves to travel, read and listen to country music.

Ms. bernadette senick / Junior High Language Arts teacher

Picture
Ms. Senick is excited to begin her seventh year teaching as a new member of the St. Isaac's family! This is her 7th year as a 7th grade homeroom and ELA teacher, and she is looking forward to teaching 8th grade Literature again. Prior to her arrival at SIJ in 2020, she taught 7th and 8th grade for 4 years at Our Lady of Peace in Darien. Ms. Senick is a product of Loyola University's Secondary Education program as well as life-long Catholic education. While one of her passions is delving into great literature, the aspect of teaching she enjoys most is getting to know her students and their families.

In her spare time, Ms. Senick enjoys being with her fiance´, friends, and family, taking care of her cat, Biscuit, and experiencing new places with a cup of coffee in hand.

Mrs. Jarzen holds an Illinois Professional Educator’s License with endorsements in Grades 6-12 Social Sciences, as well as School Administration.

Mrs. Joan Latto / Junior High Religion Teacher and religious education director

Picture
Mrs. Latto feels privileged to teach eighth grade Religion at St. Isaac’s.  She has been teaching for over 25 years and has taught every grade level from second grade to eighth grade. Mrs. Janet Waring/Junior High Religion Teacher

Picture
Mrs. Waring has been guest teaching in 7th and 8th grade religion classes a few weeks a year, bringing St John Paul II's Theology of the Body to the students for 10 years. While home with her six children (3 boys and 3 girls, ages 20-35), she finished her MA in Theology from Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH, and completed a 2 year certification from the John Paul II Institute for Theology of the Body and Culture in the Diocese of Phoenix, AZ.  Mrs. Waring was invited to teach 7th grade religion this year. Deacon Randy and Mrs. Waring are officially empty nesters, with their two youngest in college and PT school but they are lucky to have 2 dogs to keep them company.
