Tuition alone does not cover the cost to educate our children at SIJ. The total gap between tuition and annual school expenses is $2,500 per child. Every year, we rely on the Parent Student Association’s (PSA) Annual Fund and a parish subsidy to help keep tuition affordable and balance the budget.
The PSA has historically raised $350,000 each year to fund teacher bonuses (8% of salaries) and cover the remaining operating deficit. PSA contributions to operating expenses include important items such as technology, classroom and library resources, athletics, and school marketing and communications.
Our goal of $500,000 reflects an effort to significantly increase bonuses to help retain teachers. If we meet this goal, teachers will receive their usual 8% bonus this school year and teachers who return to SIJ next year will receive an additional 10% retention bonus in October.
Your Annual Fund gift will help us to retain our exceptional, Christ-centered teachers whose calling helps our children to grow spiritually and academically. Every dollar raised over $350,000 will directly fund teacher retention bonuses which will be rewarded to returning teachers next fall.

IS THERE A SUGGESTED CONTRIBUTION?
While a gift of any size makes an impact, we ask families to make a commitment of at least $875 per child. Some families will have the means and desire to contribute more. As you discern your donation amount, please consider that our $500,000 goal equates to $1,250 per child.
